Kwon Lab (Nutritional Pharmacology Lab) studies nutritional, nutraceutical, and biological impacts of diverse dietary resources at cellular and physiological levels. Kwon Lab's research effort supports developing useful nutritional and biomedical applications for human health promotion and disease prevention and uncovering potential health value of underutilized dietary resources to promote effective utilization of the harvested resources and support a sustainable food system. Current research topics include identifying bioactive compounds with metabolic regulatory effects and nutritional application of various food processing byproducts.
Kwon Lab's research is conducted in laboratories in Wiegand Hall and Linus Pauling Science Center.
