Dr. Qingyang Wang’s integrated research and extension program focuses on developing science-based solutions to support the fruit and vegetable industry in addressing challenges related to postharvest handling, processing, and manufacturing systems. Her research interests include postharvest food safety and decay management, nonthermal and sustainable processing technologies, reduction of food loss and waste, and value-added utilization of agricultural byproducts.
As an extension specialist, Dr. Wang is committed to strengthening connections between academia and industry through the development of practical training programs, technical resources, and collaborative projects that support regulatory compliance, workforce readiness, and sustainable innovation in the fruit and vegetable processing sector.
