My research and extension program focuses on developing science-based solutions to address key challenges in the fruit and vegetable industry. Core areas of interest include: (1) postharvest interventions to reduce microbial spoilage and minimize food loss, (2) nonthermal processing technologies to improve food safety and operational efficiency, and (3) valorization of food processing byproducts through microbial fermentation for value-added applications. Across all areas, I aim to bridge research and practice through industry collaboration and targeted outreach efforts that promote resilient and resource-efficient food systems.
